It keeps its Craftsman bungalow features, such as low gabled roofs, rubble stone details and a tile fireplace, and retains integrity inside and out. A 1911 newspaper called it \"a pure type of the California Bungalow.\"","narrative":"Built around 1911 at 215 Salt Springs Road in Syracuse, this one-story Craftsman bungalow was designed by architect Ward Wellington Ward for A. Bradley Fuller, an employee and later assistant manager of the American Surety Company of New York. Wood shingles cover most of the walls, while rubble stone appears in the chimney, under the southwest windows and on the porch piers. A broad, low-pitched side-gabled roof and a wide front porch with a cross-gabled roof define its form. Inside, the original plan survives, including a green glazed tile fireplace, exposed ceiling beams, a dining room window seat and squat tapered columns marking the living room divider. Fuller commissioned three bungalows from Ward between 1910 and 1924, and lived here until 1920. The house was listed as an intact, representative example of Ward's residential work in the city. Changes are limited mainly to replaced casement sash and a removed cabinet. A garage added shortly after the house also contributes.","period_of_significance":"1911-1937","architect_builder":"Ward, Ward Wellington","architectural_style":"Bungalow/Craftsman","criteria":["C"],"status_note":"Described as in good condition on the exterior and interior, with few changes since its period of significance; still a single dwelling.","vacant_flag":false,"machine_generated":true,"model":"claude-sonnet-5-5","prompt_version":"v1.0-2026-10-29","generated_at":"2026-10-29 02:51:50.633039-05","source_pdf":"https://s3.amazonaws.com/NARAprodstorage/lz/electronic-records/rg-079/NPS_NY/97000088.pdf"},"photo":{"url_800":"https://nationalhistoricalregister.com/media/97000088/74eee99e41-800.webp","url_1600":"https://nationalhistoricalregister.com/media/97000088/74eee99e41-1600.webp","licence":"CC BY-SA 3.0","author":"Doncram","credit_html":"<a href=\"https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:FullerHs2sm.jpg\" rel=\"noopener\">Doncram</a>, <a href=\"https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0\" rel=\"license noopener\">CC BY-SA 3.0</a>, via Wikimedia Commons","source_page":"https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:FullerHs2sm.jpg"},"district":{"nrhp_refnum":"12000407","name":"Scottholm Tract Historic District","url":"https://nationalhistoricalregister.com/districts/new-york/scottholm-tract-historic-district-12000407/"},"sources":{"nps_snapshot_date":"2026-05-22","nara_catalog":"https://catalog.archives.gov/id/75314043","wikipedia":"https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fuller_House_(Syracuse,_New_York)","wikidata":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q5508249"},"indexable":true,"url":"https://nationalhistoricalregister.com/new-york/onondaga-county/fuller-house-97000088/"}
