It is also tied to the Weaver family, among the most prominent and wealthy in mid-nineteenth-century Branchport. Together with the Solomon Weaver House, it forms a unique pair in the county.","narrative":"Built about 1845-55 at 21 South Main Street in Branchport, this stone house with a smooth stucco finish was the home of Myron Weaver, a lumber merchant and son of local entrepreneur Solomon Weaver. The cubic, hipped-roof house follows the Italianate style, with wide eaves, an asymmetrical plan and original cast iron sills, lintels and balustrades. Greek Revival touches include the trabeated front entrance, attic frieze windows with ornamental grilles and shouldered door and window moldings inside. A fanciful porch on the rear wing uses slender paired colonnettes and scroll brackets. Inside, plaster walls, paneled doors, marble fireplace surrounds and the original stair survive. The house has a near twin at 7 South Main Street, built by Myron's father, and both reflect the wealth the Weavers made from the lumber trade. Myron served as town supervisor and postmaster before moving to Havana by about 1865. The house is described as a local landmark and a rare transitional blend of two styles.","period_of_significance":"ca.1844-1855","architect_builder":null,"architectural_style":"Late Victorian/Italianate","criteria":["C"],"status_note":"Still used as a single dwelling, as it was historically; the interior and exterior retain a high degree of integrity.","vacant_flag":false,"machine_generated":true,"model":"claude-sonnet-5-5","prompt_version":"v1.0-2026-10-29","generated_at":"2026-10-29 02:51:50.179169-05","source_pdf":"https://s3.amazonaws.com/NARAprodstorage/lz/electronic-records/rg-079/NPS_NY/94000962.pdf"},"photo":null,"district":null,"sources":{"nps_snapshot_date":"2026-05-22","nara_catalog":"https://catalog.archives.gov/id/75315548","wikipedia":"https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Myron_Weaver_House","wikidata":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q6948502"},"indexable":true,"url":"https://nationalhistoricalregister.com/new-york/yates-county/weaver-myron-house-94000962/"}
