It displays the style's typical cubic massing, cupola, bracketed eaves, hood moldings and double-leaf entry doors. With its two intact outbuildings and historic acreage, it retains a high degree of integrity and is described as an important local architectural landmark.","narrative":"Built in 1870 on Sherman Hollow Road in Jerusalem, Yates County, this square, two-story frame farmhouse sits on a random coursed stone foundation beneath a low hipped roof topped by a cupola. Each elevation has a shallow central gable with a round oculus. The south front has a projecting two-story pavilion, double paneled doors with a transom, and a portico with scroll-sawn brackets and chamfered posts. Paired round-arched windows, louvered shutters, hood moldings and bracketed eaves add to the Italianate detail. A rear wing, original to the house, holds living space and a wood shed. Inside, the three formal rooms of the main block keep plaster walls, wood moldings, mantels, paneled doors and the stair. Two board-and-batten sheds from about 1870 stand to the north. The house was listed for its architecture, as an outstanding regional example of the Italianate style in a rural part of the county, and it keeps its original setting and 12.4 acres of land.","period_of_significance":"1870","architect_builder":null,"architectural_style":"Late Victorian/Italianate","criteria":["C"],"status_note":"Still used as a single-family dwelling; described as substantially intact from its period of construction.","vacant_flag":false,"machine_generated":true,"model":"claude-sonnet-5-5","prompt_version":"v1.0-2026-10-29","generated_at":"2026-10-29 02:51:50.956693-05","source_pdf":"https://s3.amazonaws.com/NARAprodstorage/lz/electronic-records/rg-079/NPS_NY/94000949.pdf"},"photo":null,"district":null,"sources":{"nps_snapshot_date":"2026-05-22","nara_catalog":"https://catalog.archives.gov/id/75315546","wikipedia":"https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ezikial_Perry_House","wikidata":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q5423290"},"indexable":true,"url":"https://nationalhistoricalregister.com/new-york/yates-county/perry-ezikial-house-94000949/"}
