Broadway in a residential area northeast of Cuero's central business district, this 1 1/2-story frame house dates to about 1890 and may have been reconstructed from a structure in Indianola. It follows the center-passage plan, two rooms deep, with weatherboard siding, a gable roof, box eaves and wood double-hung windows. The main entrance has a transom and sidelights. A three-bay gable-roofed porch on the south side has chamfered wood posts with molded caps, jig-sawn balusters and brackets. A large cross gable forms the porch roof and adds living space, and a similar shed-roofed porch faces west. A shed addition sits at the rear. The house was listed for its architecture, as a distinctive variation of a plan type common in Cuero. It stayed in the Lynch family until 1921, then had a one-year owner, W.B. Utesch, before passing to the Probst family.","period_of_significance":null,"architect_builder":null,"architectural_style":"Center-passage dwelling","criteria":["C"],"status_note":"Present condition is listed as good, and the present use is residential.","vacant_flag":false,"machine_generated":true,"model":"claude-sonnet-5-5","prompt_version":"v1.0-2026-10-29","generated_at":"2026-10-29 02:54:21.758486-05","source_pdf":"https://s3.amazonaws.com/NARAprodstorage/opastorage/live/74/9687/40968774/content/electronic-records/rg-079/NPS_TX/88001951.pdf"},"photo":null,"district":{"nrhp_refnum":"88001997","name":"Terrell-Reuss Streets Historic District","url":"https://nationalhistoricalregister.com/districts/texas/terrell-reuss-streets-historic-district-88001997/"},"sources":{"nps_snapshot_date":"2026-05-22","nara_catalog":"https://catalog.archives.gov/id/40968774","wikipedia":null,"wikidata":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q110001870"},"indexable":true,"url":"https://nationalhistoricalregister.com/texas/dewitt-county/lynch-probst-house-88001951/"}
