In 1890 harness-shop operator W.S. Trigg and his wife Mary contracted with W.H. Norris to improve it, and the work was completed in 1891. The result is a Queen Anne house with Classical Revival influence, topped by a large pyramidal roof broken by gables and dormers. Windows are one-over-one and irregularly placed. A prominent wraparound verandah rests on Doric columns set on masonry plinths and is finished with an ornamental balustrade. The house is regarded as locally significant for its architecture, being apparently one of the earlier Paris houses to display notable Classical Revival detailing. Its porch is similar to the one on the Bailey House, also built in 1891. A rear porch or sun room was enclosed at an unknown date, possibly in the 1950s. It sits in an older residential neighborhood, where surrounding crape myrtles may be an early landscape feature.","period_of_significance":"1800-1899","architect_builder":"W.H.
