It is said to retain integrity of location, design, setting, materials, workmanship, feeling and association.","narrative":"This farmstead on Parker Road in West Barnstable centers on a three-bay, 1 1/2 story Cape-style house with a side wing, built around 1800 or before 1836. Shingle-clad under a gable roof with an offset chimney, it has an offset entry framed by pilasters and topped by a transom, typical of the Federal period, and windows with 6/6 sash. An English-style barn sits northeast of the house, and a low, unmortared stone wall separates the property from the road. The Fuller family owned the surrounding land in the late 18th century and developed it for farming and livestock, using fresh marsh, meadow and salt marsh as food sources for animals. Parker Road, first called the New Road, was proposed in 1793 and voted to be widened in 1802, the same period when the buildings were constructed. The property was listed for its link to local agricultural development and as a well-preserved example of a Federal period farm with its house and barn intact.","period_of_significance":null,"architect_builder":null,"architectural_style":"Federal Period (Cape half house, story and a half)","criteria":["A","C"],"status_note":"Present use is residence; condition is good, with no major alterations and not moved.","vacant_flag":false,"machine_generated":true,"model":"claude-sonnet-5-5","prompt_version":"v1.0-2026-10-29","generated_at":"2026-10-29 02:13:00.868118-05","source_pdf":"https://s3.amazonaws.com/NARAprodstorage/opastorage/live/83/7890/63789083/content/electronic-records/rg-079/NPS_MA/87000325.pdf"},"photo":{"url_800":"https://nationalhistoricalregister.com/media/87000325/4a58854d24-800.webp","url_1600":"https://nationalhistoricalregister.com/media/87000325/4a58854d24-1600.webp","licence":"CC BY-SA 4.0","author":"Magicpiano","credit_html":"<a href=\"https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:BarnstableMA_FullerHouse2.jpg\" rel=\"noopener\">Magicpiano</a>, <a href=\"https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0\" rel=\"license noopener\">CC BY-SA 4.0</a>, via Wikimedia Commons","source_page":"https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:BarnstableMA_FullerHouse2.jpg"},"district":null,"sources":{"nps_snapshot_date":"2026-05-22","nara_catalog":"https://catalog.archives.gov/id/63789083","wikipedia":"https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fuller_House_(Barnstable,_Massachusetts)","wikidata":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q5508248"},"indexable":true,"url":"https://nationalhistoricalregister.com/massachusetts/barnstable-county/fuller-house-87000325/"}
