It is a one-story wood-frame dwelling with beveled siding, a wood shingle roof, and a hipped roof with gables. Its modified L-plan includes a three-bay shed porch with slender Doric columns, a gabled dormer, and a projecting bay with angled corners. The entrance has oval glass sidelights and a transom, and the lightning rods are still in place. In 1921 the owners moved the house from one site on the farm to another, using mules to pull it on log rollers. The move took six days, and support buildings were built soon afterward, including a barn in 1923. Several frame barns and sheds remain, along with a garage, windmill and tank. The property was listed as an outstanding local example of a simply detailed farmhouse and an intact early twentieth century farm group, significant for architecture and agriculture.
