It argues this meets Criterion C for architecture. Its front-gabled, three-bay form is typical of mid-nineteenth century workers' cottages in Newton.","narrative":"This small house at 110 Jewett Street in Newton Corner dates to about 1850 and was built as a modest workers' cottage in the vernacular Greek Revival style. The architect is unknown. It has a front-gabled, three-bay facade, an arrangement typical of mid-nineteenth century houses of this type in Newton. Its detailing includes a front pediment, a recessed entrance with a surround trimmed with panelled pilasters, an entablature, a transom and sidelights, and corner pilasters. The walls are clapboard, with aluminum siding added in the twentieth century, and the house remains in very good condition as a dwelling on a small urban lot. It was listed because it is considered the best surviving small, well-detailed Greek Revival sidehall cottage in Newton Corner. Records show H.P. Page owned it in 1855, and by 1874 Oliver W. Turner, who worked in Boston and held extensive land in nearby Nonantum, had acquired it.","period_of_significance":null,"architect_builder":null,"architectural_style":"Vernacular Greek Revival","criteria":["C"],"status_note":"Present use is dwelling; condition described as very good, with 20th-century aluminum siding as a major alteration; not moved; no outbuildings.","vacant_flag":false,"machine_generated":true,"model":"claude-sonnet-5-5","prompt_version":"v1.0-2026-10-29","generated_at":"2026-10-29 02:13:01.597209-05","source_pdf":"https://s3.amazonaws.com/NARAprodstorage/opastorage/live/8/7913/63791308/content/electronic-records/rg-079/NPS_MA/86001860.pdf"},"photo":{"url_800":"https://nationalhistoricalregister.com/media/86001860/91abe69d49-800.webp","url_1600":"https://nationalhistoricalregister.com/media/86001860/91abe69d49-1600.webp","licence":"CC BY-SA 2.0","author":"Thomas Kelley from Boston, MA","credit_html":"<a href=\"https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:H._P._Page_House,_Newton,_Massachusetts.jpg\" rel=\"noopener\">Thomas Kelley from Boston, MA</a>, <a href=\"https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/2.0\" rel=\"license noopener\">CC BY-SA 2.0</a>, via Wikimedia Commons","source_page":"https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:H._P._Page_House,_Newton,_Massachusetts.jpg"},"district":null,"sources":{"nps_snapshot_date":"2026-05-22","nara_catalog":"https://catalog.archives.gov/id/63791308","wikipedia":"https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/H._P._Page_House","wikidata":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q5628466"},"indexable":true,"url":"https://nationalhistoricalregister.com/massachusetts/middlesex-county/page-h-p-house-86001860/"}
