Moore, president and owner of Moore Oil Company, represents the Cincinnati industrial managers who chose to live in Wyoming. Wyoming itself is described as a preserved example of turn-of-the-century suburbia.","narrative":"Built in 1910 at 749 Stout Avenue in Wyoming, Ohio, this two-and-a-half-story frame house sits on a suburban street of early twentieth-century homes. It has weatherboard walls, a coursed quarry-cut stone foundation and a hip slate roof. Features include a central main door, a polygonal bay, a large Queen Anne window, a hip dormer with a ribbon of four nine-light windows, bracketed eaves and a wraparound porch with Ionic columns. A one-story wing and a yellow brick chimney complete the exterior. The inventory calls it the best of its style in town, describing it both as an American Foursquare and as a good Colonial Revival example. Its first owner, Charles H. Moore, was president and owner of Moore Oil Company and represents the Cincinnati business managers who made their homes in Wyoming. He lived there until his death in 1911. Ray and Mary Dollings then bought the house and land for $9,000 and stayed until 1937. The property covers about 0.4 acre.","period_of_significance":"1910","architect_builder":null,"architectural_style":"American Foursquare (inventory form); the continuation sheet also describes it as a good example of Colonial Revival style","criteria":["A","C"],"status_note":"Used as a residence; exterior condition listed as excellent.","vacant_flag":false,"machine_generated":true,"model":"claude-sonnet-5-5","prompt_version":"v1.0-2026-10-29","generated_at":"2026-10-29 02:53:14.67903-05","source_pdf":"https://s3.amazonaws.com/NARAprodstorage/lz/electronic-records/rg-079/NPS_OH/86001636.pdf"},"photo":{"url_800":"https://nationalhistoricalregister.com/media/86001636/d97789b6e3-800.webp","url_1600":"https://nationalhistoricalregister.com/media/86001636/d97789b6e3-1600.webp","licence":"CC BY 3.0","author":"Photo by Greg Hume (Greg5030)","credit_html":"<a href=\"https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:CharlesHMooreHouse.jpg\" rel=\"noopener\">Photo by Greg Hume (Greg5030)</a>, <a href=\"https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0\" rel=\"license noopener\">CC BY 3.0</a>, via Wikimedia Commons","source_page":"https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:CharlesHMooreHouse.jpg"},"district":null,"sources":{"nps_snapshot_date":"2026-05-22","nara_catalog":"https://catalog.archives.gov/id/71986430","wikipedia":"https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_H._Moore_House","wikidata":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q5078603"},"indexable":true,"url":"https://nationalhistoricalregister.com/ohio/hamilton-county/moore-charles-h-house-86001636/"}
