The front faces north. Other features include an interior brick chimney, wood sash double-hung windows, and a single-door main entrance with a transom and sidelights. A one-story, two-bay porch wraps the south and east elevations in an L shape, resting on brick piers with a slat-wood balustrade; a secondary entrance with a transom opens onto it from the south wing. The house was designed by C.H. Page of Austin and built by Griffith Lumber Co. Its importance lies in architecture: it is one of only two known residences in the city from before 1935 designed by an architectural firm.
