It was built for Frank Love, who served as Williamson County judge from 1909 to 1927, one of the longest tenures in the county's history. As judge he presided over the commissioners' court that oversaw construction of the present county courthouse.","narrative":"Built in 1916 at 1415 Ash in Georgetown, Texas, this one-and-a-half-story wood-frame house was designed by M. L. Waller of Fort Worth for Frank Love and his wife Mellie, daughter of merchant M. B. Lockett. It has an asymmetrical plan, siding with stucco on the upper story that resembles half-timbering, a gable roof with broad eaves and jigsawn brackets, and an exterior brick chimney. A shed-roofed porch wraps around the south and west sides, and large gabled dormers face north and south. Love was a local attorney and served as Williamson County judge from 1909 to 1927, a tenure among the longest in the county's history. He presided over the commissioners' court that built the present county courthouse. He lived in the house until his death in 1931. It is one of only two known architect-designed houses in Georgetown built before 1935, and it stands in a neighborhood of early twentieth-century homes southeast of downtown.","period_of_significance":null,"architect_builder":"M.
