Belford Lumber Co. built it, and it was the home of Alexander Wylie Sillure, the company's vice-president and bookkeeper. The house follows a Georgian plan and has a hip roof with hip dormers, wood shingles, box eaves with exposed beams, and an interior brick chimney with a corbeled cap. A one-story, three-bay flat-roofed porch with tiered brick piers and a 4x4 balustrade spans the east front, where the entrance has a transom and sidelights. Window bays project slightly on the east and south sides. According to the original owner's daughter, the house was built for a small price. It was listed for its architecture, as a good example of a dwelling by Belford Lumber Co., and is similar to the Tisdale House at 1252 Austin. It remains in residential use and good condition.","period_of_significance":null,"architect_builder":"Belford Lumber Co.","architectural_style":null,"criteria":[],"status_note":"Condition listed as good; present use residential.","vacant_flag":false,"machine_generated":true,"model":"claude-sonnet-5-5","prompt_version":"v1.0-2026-10-29","generated_at":"2026-10-29 02:54:21.871318-05","source_pdf":"https://s3.amazonaws.com/NARAprodstorage/opastorage/live/79/9707/40970779/content/electronic-records/rg-079/NPS_TX/86000951.pdf"},"photo":{"url_800":"https://nationalhistoricalregister.com/media/86000951/f23759465f-800.webp","url_1600":"https://nationalhistoricalregister.com/media/86000951/f23759465f-1600.webp","licence":"CC BY-SA 3.0","author":"Renelibrary","credit_html":"<a href=\"https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:AWSillure1.jpg\" rel=\"noopener\">Renelibrary</a>, <a href=\"https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0\" rel=\"license noopener\">CC BY-SA 3.0</a>, via Wikimedia Commons","source_page":"https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:AWSillure1.jpg"},"district":null,"sources":{"nps_snapshot_date":"2026-05-22","nara_catalog":"https://catalog.archives.gov/id/40970779","wikipedia":null,"wikidata":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q110002578"},"indexable":true,"url":"https://nationalhistoricalregister.com/texas/williamson-county/sillure-a-w-house-86000951/"}
