It describes the house as a good example of a late nineteenth-century vernacular dwelling with a modified L plan. It is one of two unaltered L-plan houses in Georgetown with a rounded bay at the front under a semiconical roof.","narrative":"Built around 1895, this one-story wood-frame house at 1202 E. 15th Street in Georgetown, Texas, follows a modified L plan and reflects late nineteenth-century vernacular Victorian building. It is believed to have originally stood on East University near the Southwestern campus before being moved to its present location in 1902. Weatherboard and shingled siding cover the walls, beneath an intersecting gable roof. A front wing has a rounded bay with imbricated shingles, with similar bays on the east and west sides. Other details include a hip-roofed porch with turned posts and balustrade, inverted raindrop trim under the eaves, and a front door with an art-glass border and carved trim. Its significance rests on architecture: it is one of two unaltered L-plan houses in Georgetown with a rounded front bay and semiconical roof. The other stands at 907 Pine. The house remains residential, in good condition, in a neighborhood southeast of downtown.","period_of_significance":null,"architect_builder":null,"architectural_style":"Vernacular Victorian (modified L plan)","criteria":["C"],"status_note":"Condition is listed as good; present use is residential.","vacant_flag":false,"machine_generated":true,"model":"claude-sonnet-5-5","prompt_version":"v1.0-2026-10-29","generated_at":"2026-10-29 02:54:21.448228-05","source_pdf":"https://s3.amazonaws.com/NARAprodstorage/opastorage/live/61/9708/40970861/content/electronic-records/rg-079/NPS_TX/86000185.pdf"},"photo":null,"district":null,"sources":{"nps_snapshot_date":"2026-05-22","nara_catalog":"https://catalog.archives.gov/id/40970861","wikipedia":null,"wikidata":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q110000718"},"indexable":true,"url":"https://nationalhistoricalregister.com/texas/williamson-county/chesser-morgan-house-86000185/"}
