It also keeps mid-nineteenth century Italianate additions such as scrollsawn brackets, a bay window and molded window surrounds. It is tied to the agricultural development of Goose Hill Road and to two locally prominent families who lived there.","narrative":"Built around 1820 at 7 Goose Hill Road in Cold Spring Harbor, this frame house sits on a one-acre lot along one of the village's earliest streets. It has a two-story, three-bay main block and a one-and-one-half story side wing, and no outbuildings survive on the property. The original Greek Revival character appears in the projecting cornice with returns, the broad frieze and the molded entrance surround with pilasters and sidelights. In the 1850s the house was updated with Italianate features: large scrollsawn brackets with drop pendants, a bay window on the wing, and molded window surrounds with panelled aprons. It is one of only five Italianate buildings in the Huntington multiple resource area. The house is named for the Titus and Bunce families, who occupied it during the nineteenth century. It is valued as a well-preserved early settlement-period dwelling remodelled in mid-century style, and it keeps much of its rural setting beside undeveloped land.","period_of_significance":null,"architect_builder":null,"architectural_style":"Greek Revival with mid-nineteenth century Italianate details","criteria":[],"status_note":"Listed as a private residence in excellent condition, on its original site, with no known threats.
