Its architect is unknown. The facade features a two-story tripartite bay and a bracketed entrance hood, and a round-arch window lights the attic in the gable end. Windows on the first and second stories have projecting lintels and hold two-over-two sash. The house sits on a lot of about an acre or less in a residential area next to the town center, and it has not been moved or significantly altered. It is considered among the best surviving examples of the late Italianate style in the town. The property retains integrity of location, design, setting, materials and workmanship. It reflects Methuen's development during the post-war expansion of local mills and the neighboring Lawrence area. An early resident, E. M. Clark, was listed as a shoe manufacturer. The house qualifies for its architectural value.","period_of_significance":null,"architect_builder":null,"architectural_style":"Italianate","criteria":["C"],"status_note":"Present use is private residence, same as original use; no major alterations and not moved.","vacant_flag":false,"machine_generated":true,"model":"claude-sonnet-5-5","prompt_version":"v1.0-2026-10-29","generated_at":"2026-10-29 02:11:57.862713-05","source_pdf":"https://s3.amazonaws.com/NARAprodstorage/opastorage/live/2/7901/63790102/content/electronic-records/rg-079/NPS_MA/84002385.pdf"},"photo":{"url_800":"https://nationalhistoricalregister.com/media/84002385/a23a44939d-800.webp","url_1600":"https://nationalhistoricalregister.com/media/84002385/a23a44939d-1600.webp","licence":"Public domain","author":"EraserGirl","credit_html":"<a href=\"https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:House_at_10_Park_Street.jpg\" rel=\"noopener\">EraserGirl</a>, Public domain, via Wikimedia Commons","source_page":"https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:House_at_10_Park_Street.jpg"},"district":null,"sources":{"nps_snapshot_date":"2026-05-22","nara_catalog":"https://catalog.archives.gov/id/63790102","wikipedia":"https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/House_at_10_Park_Street","wikidata":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q5913867"},"indexable":true,"url":"https://nationalhistoricalregister.com/massachusetts/essex-county/house-at-10-park-street-84002385/"}
