Its origins lie in an 1888 two-story shingle-sided house, which was moved to the rear of the lot and plastered on the exterior. Four one-story structures were then built in front of it. The result is a Tudor-style court with half-timbered facades, a mixture of gabled and jerkinhead roofs, brick porch walls and stucco chimneys. The buildings are arranged irregularly, with two on the south side of the property and three on the north. The court is significant as an example of how the bungalow court form gave owners of single and double lots an income-producing use for their land. Its evolution from an existing home to a court reflects that practice. It is also notable for its pseudo half-timbering, and it is one of only two courts in Pasadena designed in the Tudor idiom.","period_of_significance":null,"architect_builder":"The Postle Company","architectural_style":"Tudor Revival","criteria":[],"status_note":null,"vacant_flag":null,"machine_generated":true,"model":"claude-sonnet-5-5","prompt_version":"v1.0-2026-10-29","generated_at":"2026-10-29 02:54:27.305034-05","source_pdf":"https://s3.amazonaws.com/NARAprodstorage/lz/electronic-records/rg-079/NPS_CA/83001193.pdf"},"photo":{"url_800":"https://nationalhistoricalregister.com/media/83001193/373f68fd8a-800.webp","url_1600":"https://nationalhistoricalregister.com/media/83001193/373f68fd8a-1600.webp","licence":"CC BY-SA 3.0","author":"Brianyoungramirez","credit_html":"<a href=\"https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Euclid_Court.JPG\" rel=\"noopener\">Brianyoungramirez</a>, <a href=\"https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0\" rel=\"license noopener\">CC BY-SA 3.0</a>, via Wikimedia Commons","source_page":"https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Euclid_Court.JPG"},"district":null,"sources":{"nps_snapshot_date":"2026-05-22","nara_catalog":"https://catalog.archives.gov/id/123857461","wikipedia":"https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Euclid_Court","wikidata":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q15217033"},"indexable":true,"url":"https://nationalhistoricalregister.com/california/los-angeles-county/euclid-court-83001193/"}
