The first buildings, behind the present main mill, went up in 1891. The three-story main mill followed in 1902 on the site of a former hat factory, measuring 104 by 250 feet and built by contractors Beattie and Wilcox. It has large segmental windows with brick relieving arches, a bracketed cornice and a low-pitched roof. A one-story Classical Revival brick office from 1912 has a pedimented entrance pavilion, brick quoins and granite trim. Weekly capacity grew from 3,600 pieces in 1892 to 40,000 by 1911, when 350 people were employed. Operations moved to Dighton in 1941, and the main mill now houses light industry. The complex was listed for its typical, largely intact mill architecture and for its place in Fall River's textile printing industry.","period_of_significance":"1891-1912","architect_builder":"Beattie and Wilcox (contractors for the 1902 main mill)","architectural_style":"Brick mill architecture; Classical Revival (1912 detached office)","criteria":["A","C"],"status_note":"The main mill is presently used for light industry.
