It is part of the Historic Resources of the Hudson Highlands group.","narrative":"Built around 1903, this two-story house on Webb Lane in Highland Falls is constructed of stone and stucco beneath a hipped roof with a deep overhang carried on massive paired brackets. Hipped and gable dormers face east and north, and a three-story square tower is built into the southeast corner. A porch of heavy timber piers and pilasters runs across the east facade, and its center projects forward to form a porte-cochere. The front faces east toward the Hudson River, with open land to the north and west. The house first appears on an 1903 atlas map. It was recognized as an excellent example of a picturesque eclectic residence and the most elaborate of its type in the Highland Falls area. It retains most of its decorative detailing, though it was divided into apartments at one time and a north-side porch was enclosed. Rehabilitation was under way when documented.","period_of_significance":null,"architect_builder":null,"architectural_style":"Picturesque eclectic style residence","criteria":["C"],"status_note":"Had been converted into apartments and was being rehabilitated by its new owner at the time of the form; condition rated fair.","vacant_flag":null,"machine_generated":true,"model":"claude-sonnet-5-5","prompt_version":"v1.0-2026-10-29","generated_at":"2026-10-29 02:50:41.266473-05","source_pdf":"https://s3.amazonaws.com/NARAprodstorage/lz/electronic-records/rg-079/NPS_NY/82001230.pdf"},"photo":null,"district":null,"sources":{"nps_snapshot_date":"2026-05-22","nara_catalog":"https://catalog.archives.gov/id/75314199","wikipedia":"https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Webb_Lane_House","wikidata":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q7978663"},"indexable":true,"url":"https://nationalhistoricalregister.com/new-york/orange-county/webb-lane-house-82001230/"}
