Lenhart, a local physician and surgeon. Faced in buff brick with smooth-dressed stone trim, the front is symmetrical, with three-story bay-like units at each end and a deeply recessed central loggia that is arcaded on two stories and colonnaded on the third. A molded metal cornice and masonry parapet cap the facade. Lenhart's earlier house and office stood on the lot, and the new building was constructed around it, which explains the older brick and window treatment on the north side. Lenhart and his family lived in the building, and his office was there too. Inside are 15 one- and two-bedroom apartments, many with wood mantles and tile hearths. The building was listed as a good expression of Colonial Revival design and as the finest local early twentieth-century apartment building, built when downtown land was scarce.","period_of_significance":"1906-1907","architect_builder":null,"architectural_style":"Colonial Revival","criteria":[],"status_note":"Listed as occupied and in excellent condition, in use as private residences.
