It is included in a thematic group of works by the Cincinnati architect Samuel Hannaford. The congregation, founded in 1870, first met in a modest frame church on the same site.","narrative":"Standing at the southwest corner of Wyoming and Burns Avenues in Wyoming, Ohio, this Presbyterian church was completed in 1888 to designs by Samuel Hannaford & Sons. Its Richardsonian Romanesque styling is marked by a massive corner steeple topped with a tall octagonal spire, stubby bartizans, small arcaded bays and an open belfry. Large gables dominate the east and north facades, and random sandstone ashlar walls with smooth orangish sandstone trim give the building a heavy, solid look. A darker sandstone addition four bays wide was added to the west side in 1931, and the rear wall is pressed yellow brick. The congregation was founded in 1870 by citizens who had been part of the Lockland Presbyterian Church, and it first met in a modest frame church on this site. The church sits in a wooded suburb of nineteenth-century frame buildings, beside a Gothic Revival manse. It is listed as part of the thematic group of Samuel Hannaford's works.","period_of_significance":"1888","architect_builder":"Samuel Hannaford & Sons (architect); builder unknown","architectural_style":"Richardsonian Romanesque","criteria":[],"status_note":"Used as a church; condition listed as excellent for both interior and exterior.","vacant_flag":false,"machine_generated":true,"model":"claude-sonnet-5-5","prompt_version":"v1.0-2026-10-29","generated_at":"2026-10-29 02:53:12.488687-05","source_pdf":"https://s3.amazonaws.com/NARAprodstorage/lz/electronic-records/rg-079/NPS_OH/80003094.pdf"},"photo":{"url_800":"https://nationalhistoricalregister.com/media/80003094/58f703d1ce-800.webp","url_1600":"https://nationalhistoricalregister.com/media/80003094/58f703d1ce-1600.webp","licence":"CC BY 3.0","author":"Photo by Greg Hume (Greg5030)","credit_html":"<a href=\"https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:WyomingPresbyterianChurchLR.jpg\" rel=\"noopener\">Photo by Greg Hume (Greg5030)</a>, <a href=\"https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0\" rel=\"license noopener\">CC BY 3.0</a>, via Wikimedia Commons","source_page":"https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:WyomingPresbyterianChurchLR.jpg"},"district":{"nrhp_refnum":"86001626","name":"Village Historic District","url":"https://nationalhistoricalregister.com/districts/ohio/village-historic-district-86001626/"},"sources":{"nps_snapshot_date":"2026-05-22","nara_catalog":"https://catalog.archives.gov/id/71985388","wikipedia":"https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wyoming_Presbyterian_Church","wikidata":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q8040370"},"indexable":true,"url":"https://nationalhistoricalregister.com/ohio/hamilton-county/wyoming-presbyterian-church-80003094/"}
