H. Burroughs. The asymmetrical building has a slate hip roof, a rock-faced ashlar foundation and Romanesque-influenced details. A wall gable and a cylindrical corner turret with a conical slate cap flank a gabled entrance portico, and the first floor has a bowed bay window. Large arched windows are arcaded across the front, and ashlar lintels and sills form continuous bands across the facade. The house was listed as one of many works in a thematic group on Hannaford. It has also been the clubhouse of the Cincinnati Federation of Colored Women's Clubs, which has owned it for more than 50 years. Meetings are held on the first floor, and the upper floors are used for storage. Letters of support describe it as a long-standing gathering place for the club's members.","period_of_significance":"1888","architect_builder":"Samuel Hannaford & Sons (architect); builder unknown","architectural_style":"Romanesque influences","criteria":[],"status_note":"Owned by the Cincinnati Federation of Colored Women's Clubs; meetings are held on the first floor and the upper floors are used for storage.
