It is a simple gabled structure on a limestone foundation, with a small side gablet and nameplate, small brackets supporting a slightly projecting wooden box gutter, and symmetrically spaced segmented-arched openings holding six-over-six double-hung windows. The first floor holds one large public meeting room. The upper floor, once divided into small meeting rooms, has been restored to a single room. A garage of unknown date is attached at the back. The school moved to a new building across the street in 1871, and the Odd Fellows lodge acquired the upper floors in 1873. Since then the building has served as a voting place and a site for public meetings and entertainment. It is valued as pre-Civil War school architecture and for its place in community civic life.","period_of_significance":"1856","architect_builder":null,"architectural_style":"Early Italianate","criteria":[],"status_note":"In public use as the township hall; interior and exterior condition listed as good.
