It is also associated with O. T. Baker, a local builder who built it and other houses in the area, and who appears to have owned it by 1857.","narrative":"Built around 1850 on the west side of Route 58 in Huntington Township near Wellington, this two-story Greek Revival farmhouse has a wood frame, clapboard siding, a gable roof and a sandstone foundation. Its T-shaped plan has six bays across the front. Corner pilasters with highly articulated patterns are the main decorative feature, and small-paned windows in the second-floor entablature add interest. The original front entrance was removed and replaced with late nineteenth century windows, and the south wing was remodeled inside. O. T. Baker, a local builder who constructed this and other houses in the Huntington area, is credited with building it. An 1857 county atlas shows him as owner, and he probably lived here. He also built a residence on South Main Street in Wellington. The Long family later owned the house for many years. The five-acre property includes barns and outbuildings, among them an old schoolhouse converted to a barn, and is shaded by trees and shrubbery.","period_of_significance":null,"architect_builder":"O.
