Built in the Greek Revival style, it has a gabled metal roof, a sandstone foundation, a basement and a rectangular plan three bays wide and deep. A Greek Revival entablature wraps around the eaves and forms a pediment at the front, and the entranceway is notably elaborate. Original clapboard siding survives beneath asphalt siding made to resemble stone. Additions at the rear changed the layout so that the back of the house now serves as its front. The lot sits on the edge of a hill, with the front yard sloping sharply toward Mount Vernon Avenue, and shade trees and shrubbery surround the house. It is named for William Burch, a prominent Fredericktown physician who lived there for many years. The original owner is unknown. The house is considered one of the oldest buildings in Fredericktown and remains a private residence.","period_of_significance":null,"architect_builder":null,"architectural_style":"Greek Revival","criteria":[],"status_note":"Used as a private residence; interior and exterior condition both listed as fair.
