It is also considered a good local example of Greek Revival architecture.","narrative":"This brick house at 606 West Main Street in Woodville, Ohio, began as a Greek Revival block built in the late 1850s on a cut stone foundation. The original section has a three-bay facade with a recessed side entrance, stone lintels and sills, and an unusual entablature of brick dentil courses with wood dentil blocks beneath the soffit. The roof is hipped with a fluted cap. Wings with arched lintels and porches were added before 1874, and a final northeast addition with segmentally arched windows and a gabled roof came later. The house was built for Georg Cronenwett (1814-1888), a German-born Lutheran pastor who arrived in Woodville in 1841 and ministered across the Black Swamp region. He established about thirteen churches, founded Woodville's parish school in 1862, and co-founded Woodville Seminary in 1881. His home served as the town's first parsonage, and it is valued both for that association and as a local Greek Revival example.","period_of_significance":"1800-1899","architect_builder":"Unknown","architectural_style":"Greek Revival","criteria":[],"status_note":"Listed as occupied, in excellent condition, and altered (1975); the form describes it as a private residence and commercial use.","vacant_flag":false,"machine_generated":true,"model":"claude-sonnet-5-5","prompt_version":"v1.0-2026-10-29","generated_at":"2026-10-29 02:53:11.984656-05","source_pdf":"https://s3.amazonaws.com/NARAprodstorage/lz/electronic-records/rg-079/NPS_OH/78002184.pdf"},"photo":{"url_800":"https://nationalhistoricalregister.com/media/78002184/520d2bfd4e-800.webp","url_1600":"https://nationalhistoricalregister.com/media/78002184/520d2bfd4e-1600.webp","licence":"Public domain","author":"Nyttend","credit_html":"<a href=\"https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Georg_Cronenwett_House.jpg\" rel=\"noopener\">Nyttend</a>, Public domain, via Wikimedia Commons","source_page":"https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Georg_Cronenwett_House.jpg"},"district":null,"sources":{"nps_snapshot_date":"2026-05-22","nara_catalog":"https://catalog.archives.gov/id/71991232","wikipedia":"https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Georg_Cronenwett_House","wikidata":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q5535672"},"indexable":true,"url":"https://nationalhistoricalregister.com/ohio/sandusky-county/cronenwett-georg-house-78002184/"}
