It is also described as a tour-de-force of the Colonial Revival restorations carried out by Ohio architects in the late 1920s.","narrative":"Squire's Glen Farm, also known as the Timothy Lee Homestead, is a Greek Revival farmhouse near Central College in Franklin County, Ohio. Timothy Lee, a New York native who settled in the area in 1807, built the two-story frame house in 1824 on the bottom land of Big Walnut Creek. A three-bay east portico with four fluted Doric columns is its most prominent feature. Inside, a center hall holds a long stair and hand-painted murals of English hunting scenes. Lee also ran a sawmill, woolen factory, grist mill and distillery on the creek, among the earliest in the area, and with his wife he helped found Central College. In 1929 William Dickinson bought the house and renovated it, adding a west wing, an arcaded passage and a garage with apartment. The property is significant as an early farmer's home and as a notable example of late-1920s Colonial Revival restoration in Ohio.","period_of_significance":"19th Century (specific dates 1824, 1929)","architect_builder":null,"architectural_style":"Greek Revival","criteria":[],"status_note":"Listed as in excellent condition, altered, original site, and used as a private residence; occupied.","vacant_flag":false,"machine_generated":true,"model":"claude-sonnet-5-5","prompt_version":"v1.0-2026-10-29","generated_at":"2026-10-29 02:53:10.071174-05","source_pdf":"https://s3.amazonaws.com/NARAprodstorage/lz/electronic-records/rg-079/NPS_OH/74001485.pdf"},"photo":null,"district":null,"sources":{"nps_snapshot_date":"2026-05-22","nara_catalog":"https://catalog.archives.gov/id/71988342","wikipedia":null,"wikidata":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q137810297"},"indexable":true,"url":"https://nationalhistoricalregister.com/ohio/franklin-county/squires-glen-farm-74001485/"}
