Kendrick near the Chattahoochee River, White Hall is a two-story frame plantation house on Highway 29 in West Point, Georgia, within Harris County. Its plan reflects the Plantation Plain tradition, with a central hall and a shed addition at the rear, while a full two-story Ionic portico with a heavy dentil frieze brings in Greek Revival influence. The doorways and front windows have side lights and small dentiled trim, and a wire and iron railing decorates the hanging balcony. The house is valued as one of the best surviving Greek Revival porticos in Georgia, an inventive blend of classical elements by a mid-19th century craftsman. Only Rebel Hall, northeast of West Point, shares the same entablature. Later owners included the Poer family, who called the place Happy Heights and laid out boxwood-bordered walks and flower beds. The house remains a private residence with rear additions.","period_of_significance":"19th Century (specific date 1857)","architect_builder":"Alexander F.
