It also connects the house to the Roberson, Everett and Roebuck families, who were part of the town's growth through agriculture, tobacco, railroad development, commerce and education in the early twentieth century.","narrative":"Built around 1900 on Outterbridge Street in Robersonville, this one-and-a-half-story frame cottage is a Queen Anne-style house with a steeply pitched hip roof, a central octagonal tower, cross gables and a front porch. Sawn and turned woodwork appears in the cornices, gable ornaments, porch balustrade and spindle frieze, and the front porch walls are sheathed in herringbone beaded boards. The double-pile center-hall plan and much of the interior woodwork remain largely intact. Archibald Staton Roberson, a merchant and town commissioner, bought the lots in 1900 and is associated with the house. The nomination regards it as the best-preserved example of its style in Martin County and a reflection of the town's growth around the turn of the twentieth century. Its associations include the Roberson family, who helped found the town, and John D. Everett, first superintendent of the Robersonville Graded Schools in 1905.","period_of_significance":"ca. 1900","architect_builder":null,"architectural_style":"LATE VICTORIAN/Queen Anne","criteria":["C"],"status_note":"In good condition with a high degree of integrity; a porte cochère was added in the late 1950s.","vacant_flag":null,"machine_generated":true,"model":"claude-haiku-5-5","prompt_version":"v1.1-2026-10-29","generated_at":"2026-10-29 17:11:41.136531-05","source_pdf":"https://s3.amazonaws.com/NARAprodstorage/opastorage/live/95/7211/47721195/content/electronic-records/rg-079/NPS_NC/10000602.pdf"},"photo":{"url_800":"https://nationalhistoricalregister.com/media/10000602/e2ba563eb5-800.webp","url_1600":"https://nationalhistoricalregister.com/media/10000602/e2ba563eb5-1600.webp","licence":"CC BY-SA 4.0","author":"DaveEM1004","credit_html":"<a href=\"https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:RER_House.jpg\" rel=\"noopener\">DaveEM1004</a>, <a href=\"https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0\" rel=\"license noopener\">CC BY-SA 4.0</a>, via Wikimedia Commons","source_page":"https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:RER_House.jpg"},"district":null,"sources":{"nps_snapshot_date":"2026-05-22","nara_catalog":"https://catalog.archives.gov/id/47721195","wikipedia":"https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roberson-Everett-Roebuck_House","wikidata":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q20713659"},"indexable":true,"url":"https://nationalhistoricalregister.com/north-carolina/martin-county/roberson-everett-roebuck-house-10000602/"}
